Maximizer Cloud 2023.5 Release Notes
Base Edition
Revenue Type basic field in Opportunities
The Revenue Type field allows you to categorize opportunities based on revenue generated from various sources such as net new customers and expansion. It is available in the Opportunity Details tab; can be added to column views; and can be set as mandatory. You can also use it for search; import; global edit; and setting up default entries or notifications.
There are two built-in revenue types; including New Business and Existing Business. You can also create your own revenue types for the field.
Follow Opportunities
As a sales leader; you may want to focus on the most critical opportunities. Now you can simply click a button to follow an opportunity. When the stage of the opportunity has been changed; a notification will be pushed to your mobile device. You will need to enable notifications for the Maximizer app on your mobile device to receive the notifications. This feature is available for iOS only for now. Push notifications for Android will come in a subsequent release.
Notifications about exporting entries
As a sales manager; you may also want to be notified if someone tries to export too many entries. If someone exports more than 500 Address Book entries or opportunities; you will then receive a notification on your mobile device. Only the users with the administrator role will receive the notifications. This feature is available for iOS only for now. Push notifications for Android will come in a subsequent release.
Improvements to Quick Search
We have changed the behaviour of Quick Search to allow you to find opportunities more precisely. In the previous release; Quick Search only retrieved opportunities based on Address Book entries; with only Address Book entries available in suggestions. However; in this release; Quick Search will also search against the opportunity Objective and Description; and Address Book entries. This means that matching opportunities and Address Book entries will appear as the matching entries.
You can refine your search by entering additional information about the opportunities; such as the Address Book name and keywords in the opportunity Objective and Description. For instance; if you are looking for an opportunity regarding the "Bike Fit Promotion" (opportunity Objective) at company "ABC Rental" and for the 2023 promotion (mentioned in the opportunity Description); you can enter "ABC Bike Fit 2023" in the search field. The matching opportunity will then be displayed in the drop-down.
The drop-down for displaying the matching entries includes two sections for matching opportunities and Address Book entries. Clicking an opportunity will add it to the current opportunity list while clicking an Address Book entry will retrieve the opportunities associated with that entry. To conduct a broader search; click the Search button in the Quick Search field. The text entered in the Quick Search field will be used to search against Address Book entries; and opportunity Objectives and Descriptions. All matching opportunities will be retrieved.
Partial matching is also supported in the new Quick Search. In the previous release; for example; if you are looking for a company "Beach Bike Rental"; you need to type in the whole word "Beach" in the search field. Now you can type "Bea" and press the Enter key. "Beach Bike Rental" will be found.

Sales Leader Edition
Set Targets for Your Team
Watch the Targets Feature Announcement Video
A new Targets module has been created to replace the Quota Tracker module. In this new module; you can create revenue targets and activity targets for your team members.
When creating a revenue target; you can specify its associated revenue type. Each sales rep can have multiple targets in a fiscal year; each one associated with a different revenue type. You can filter by fiscal year; user; and revenue type. It is very easy to edit and delete targets that have been set up.
To see user; team or revenue type totals; click and drag their respective column title and drop it into the header to group by that column.
You can also create activity targets for your team members; which can be associated with a specific interaction type and category. For example; you can create a target for a product demo meeting; which is an appointment in the product demo category. These are the leading indicators that will help create a formula for success to the revenue targets that have just been set in this same module. You can filter by fiscal year and user. It is the same process to edit and delete activity targets as it is for revenue targets.
To see the user; interaction type or interaction category; click and drag their respective column title and drop it into the header to group by that column.
Information about tracking the results vs the targets set is available in the new Sales Intelligence dashboard to accompany this module. See the Sales Intelligence section below.
Onboard Faster with Playbook in the Opps Viewer
Watch the Playbook Feature Announcement Video
Support the coaching and onboarding of new team members with leading indicators and links to sales collateral; pricing documents; videos; and more. Access the Playbook from the playbook icon located on every opportunity card. See alerts to specific attention needed if no actions have been scheduled for a specific opportunity. An interaction summary is also available to see how many interactions like emails sent; calls made and meetings scheduled.
The documentation that is linked to each opportunity card is related to the specified stage of the sales process. In order to set up the documentation; videos and any other links; we have duplicated access to the Preferences menu from Administrator to the Settings Menu (found in the Administration module of the menu bar) for opportunity sales processes and stages; with an updated UI to customize your preferences quicker and provide an enhanced user experience.
In the Settings menu; go to Processes and Stages under Opportunities to find the sales process related to your team and set up the playbook.
Once in the playbook customization dialogue; you can add documents; links; videos; presentation decks; or any other training material that you deem important for that stage of the sales process. The goal is to make onboarding and training easy so reps can sell faster. The sales rep does not need to go outside of the platform to search for sales collateral in other folders.
Revenue Type filter in the Opps Viewer
The Revenue Type filter is now available in the Opps Viewer. If you are using the same sales process to work with various types of opportunities; you can easily filter the opportunities using revenue types.
