This article explains how to set up the Zapier integration for Maximizer On-Premise. You'll create OAuth credentials in Maximizer, install the Zapier integration on your web server, and then connect Zapier using those credentials.
Before you begin: These instructions are for IT administrators familiar with setting up server-based applications in IIS. Maximizer Cloud users don't need to do any of this; see Setting Up Zapier For Maximizer Cloud.
Part 1: Create OAuth Credentials in Maximizer
| These instructions are for IT administrators familiar with setting up server-based applications. |
Log in to Maximizer Web Administrator and select System Options in the left pane.
Select the OAuth Settings tab and click Add.
In the Name field, enter
ZapApps.-
In the Redirect URI field, enter:
https://{yourmaximizeronpremurl.com}/ZapApps/OnPremiseOAuth/RedirectReplace
{yourmaximizeronpremurl.com}with the domain of your Maximizer Web Access URL, without the/MaximizerWebAccesspath. For example, usehttps://crm.example.com, nothttps://crm.example.com/MaximizerWebAccess. Make a note of the generated Client ID and Client Secret. You'll need them to connect Zapier in Part 3.
Part 2: Install the Zapier Integration on Your Server
On the machine with the installed IIS components, browse to the Maximizer installation folder. The default location is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Maximizer.In the installation folder, create a new folder named
ZapApps.Download the latest Zapier integration build from the App Directory in Maximizer and extract it into the
ZapAppsfolder.-
Open the
Web.configfile in theZapAppsfolder and update these keys:<add key="LiveCloudWebURL" value="https://{yourmaximizeronpremurl.com}" /> <add key="IntegrationURL" value="https://{yourmaximizeronpremurl.com}/ZapApps" />Replace
{yourmaximizeronpremurl.com}with the same domain you used in Part 1. In IIS Manager, expand Default Web Site, right-click it, and select Add Application.
Enter
ZapAppsas the Alias, and set the Physical path to the folder you created, for exampleC:\Program Files (x86)\Maximizer\ZapApps.
Part 3: Connect Zapier to Maximizer
In Zapier, go to the App Connections page, click + Add connection, and select Maximizer CRM.
Choose the on-premise authentication option and enter the Client ID and Client Secret you noted in Part 1.
Confirm that Maximizer CRM is listed on the App Connections page.
Start with a Zap Template
Once Zapier is connected, the fastest way to get started is with a pre-configured Zap. Click Use this workflow on any template to set it up in Zapier.
Note: If you use Outlook Sync, don't use the Calendly template. Outlook Sync already brings those appointments into Maximizer, and a Zap would create duplicates.
Find more templates on Maximizer CRM's page on the Zapier website, or build your own in the Zap editor.
If you run into problems, see Zapier Troubleshooting.
