This document explains how to request insurance data files from any Insurance Carrier or MGA/aggregator so you can upload them into Maximizer for manual import into the new Insurance data model (Insurance UDOs).
Important: Each carrier/MGA has its own process and may require agreements, security review, and lead time. For fastest results, request a one‑time export (CSV/XLSX) first. If available, you can also request a recurring CLIEDIS/CITS feed delivered to your vendor (Maximizer).
1) What to request (copy/paste email template)
Subject: Request for book of business export / CLIEDIS feed (for Maximizer import)

- A recurring data feed (CLIEDIS/CITS) delivered to our vendor (Maximizer).
Please include the fields below where available—especially the date fields (EffectiveDate, RenewalDate, TerminationDate, PaidToDate) and premiums.

Thank you,

- Dates in YYYY‑MM‑DD format if possible
- Premiums as numbers (no currency symbols). If modal, include frequency (Monthly/Annual).
- No merged cells / no pivot tables / no protected sheets
- If Excel has multiple sheets, put the data on a sheet named Policies (and Coverages if applicable)
3) Before you upload (quick checklist)
- PolicyNumber is present for every policy
- Carrier + ProductType/LineOfBusiness included
- Status + premium included
- At least one client identifier is present (Email preferred; otherwise DOB + name)
- Export is filtered to your advisor/agent code(s) and (if relevant) your MGA
4) Upload into Maximizer (self‑serve)
- Save the file as CSV or XLSX
- In Maximizer, go to the Insurance connectors/import area
- Choose the correct upload card:
- MGAs — if the file is from an MGA/aggregator (or the MGA isn’t listed)
- Other Insurance Carriers — if the carrier isn’t listed
- Upload the file
- You’ll receive confirmation that the upload was received
Tip: If you have multiple carriers, upload one file per carrier/MGA whenever possible.
5) Common issues (and what to request instead)
- Missing PolicyNumber: ask for a policy/contract ID column
- Missing key dates: request EffectiveDate + RenewalDate/TerminationDate/PaidToDate
- Premiums embedded in text: request numeric premium + frequency
- Multiple policies in one cell: request one row per policy
- No carrier name/code: request carrier included on every row
6) Data privacy & security
Your insurance data is safe to store in Maximizer. Maximizer protects customer and policy information using industry‑standard security controls, and our security program includes SOC 2 compliance. Data is protected with measures such as access controls, encryption in transit and at rest, and audit/logging to help ensure only authorized users can access it.

8) MGAs (PPI, Financial Horizons, or other)
If your book of business is managed through an MGA portal:
- First, look for exports under Reports / Book of Business / In‑Force / Policies / Export
- If you can’t find a suitable export, email MGA support and request a “book of business / in-force policy listing” in CSV/XLSX using the fields above.
