System requirements
In order to use Maximizer's Integration for Microsoft Outlook, you need to have the following:
- Microsoft Outlook 365 account
- Maximizer CRM Cloud account
You can use the Maximizer add-in in the Microsoft Outlook 365 web app or in Microsoft Outlook 2016 and above desktop versions. In the Outlook desktop version, you need to connect to your Microsoft Outlook 365 account.
Installation from the App Directory
- In your Maximizer app, navigate to the App Directory and search for “Microsoft Outlook” integration. To speed up the search, you can use the left-side filtering panel and select the “Communication” category and “Maximizer” integration type to filter out only those apps that match these criteria.
- Open the details page for “Maximizer Outlook” integration and click on the “Get it now” button.
- You will be prompted to the Maximizer page in the Microsoft AppStore where you just need to confirm the add-in installation.
Note: If you are not logged in to your Microsoft Account, you will first need to log in to be able to complete the installation of the Maximizer add-in for Microsoft Outlook. |
And just like that, you can get started with “Microsoft Outlook” integration. “Open in Outlook Web” button will bring you directly to your Outlook inbox, where you can leverage the functionality of Maximizer's integration.
To start with the add-in, select the desired email in your Outlook inbox and select Maximizer CRM for Outlook in the Apps menu:
You can pin the Maximizer app for faster access from the Apps list in the future: Right-click on the Maximizer CRM for Outlook in the Apps panel and Pin the app.
You can also pin the Maximizer panel to keep it open as you go through your inbox:
Note: To save emails from your Outlook account to your Maximizer database, Microsoft requires users to grant authorization. You have to authenticate through Microsoft when prompted by the Maximizer CRM app for Outlook.
Ensure that you use the same Microsoft account as the one linked to your current Outlook inbox. If you authenticate with a different account, email saving will not work, and you will see the error message:
Additionally, depending on your organization's Microsoft account settings, such as groups, permissions, and security policies, your Microsoft admin may need to approve the Maximizer CRM app for Outlook to enable email saving.
Installation from Outlook 365
Alternatively, you can install the Maximizer CRM app for Outlook from your Outlook 365 interface.
- Click on the Apps icon in the left sidebar or in the top right corner of the email editor to open the Apps for Outlook interface.
- In the search field, search for Maximizer and select the Maximizer CRM for Outlook once it pops up.
- Finally, click the “Add” button, and you are all good to go – Maximizer CRM app for Outlook is now available for usage in your Outlook app.
