You can track outgoing phone calls from the main lists in the Address Book; Opportunities; Customer Service; or Hotlist page and from the Contacts or Related Entries following pane.
If Voice-Over IP (VOIP) or Instant Messaging (IM) integrations are configured; you can select the integration to launch the VOIP or IM software automatically from Maximizer.
You can also take notes on the phone call while the duration is timed. Depending on your logging preferences; an outgoing call note is automatically saved to the Address Book entry; Customer Service case; or Opportunity associated with the call. On the Hotlist page; the note is saved to the Address Book entry associated with the appointment or task.
After completing a phone call; you have the option of scheduling a follow-up activity saved to your Hotlist.
- Click on the Address Book entry; Opportunity; Customer Service case; Hotlist task; or Appointment to make it the current entry.
- Select Actions Make a Call.

- Right-click and select Phone Make a Call.

- In the Details tab of an Opportunity or Customer Service case; under Actions; select Make a Call.
- From the drop-down list; select the VOIP application and phone number you are calling, and click on the Phone icon, if it is your first time doing it, a pop-up screen will show, select the check box and click Open.
- The VOIP software will be launched.

- If VOIP is not configured, select the phone number you are calling and click on the Play icon to start the time recording, you can Pause and Stop it anytime.
- You can minimize the phone call interaction and continue to work in Maximizer.
- To maximize the phone call interaction you can either go to Actions - Receive a call or maximize the window from the down-right side.
- When the phone call is finished, click the Stop icon to Hang up.
- You can edit the Phone call Details; Subject; Category; Result, Full, and Read Access.
- You can link the call to an opportunity, or a case or create an appointment, or task.
- If you select the Link to Opportunity or Link to Case options, you will need to search for and select the respective case or opportunity that you want to link.
- If you select Create a Follow-up Appointment or Create a Follow-up Task, their respective screen will appear, select the info you like to add and Save.
- After finishing your notes you can click Save.
