VOIP Setup
Maximizer allows integration with your Voice-over-IP (VoIP) softphone, enabling you to call your contacts directly from within Maximizer by sending phone numbers from address book entries and leads to your softphone. So, whenever you click on the Phone icon for a specific contact in Maximizer, the dialling will happen through the selected software, like Dialpad, RingCentral, Teams, or others.
To connect Maximizer to your softphone, follow these steps:
- In Maximizer, select Administration > Administrator.

Select the System Options page.

The VOIP/IM Integration section is where you connect Maximizer to your VoIP softphone.
- Click Modify Options.
- Enter a description and the corresponding URL to your VoIP softphone. Here is an example of the RingCentral softphone.

6. Click Save to finalize your setup.
At this point, you can close the browser tab of your Web Administrator.

To integrate with Maximizer, your softphone must support receiving phone numbers via a URL. Below are examples of URL templates for common softphones:
Connect Microsoft Teams
To use Microsoft Teams for calling:

Use the regular tel browser command as the URL in the VOIP/IM Integration: tel : [PhoneNumber]
- Ensure Teams is the Default Calling App: Configure your laptop to make Microsoft Teams the default application for placing calls.

Understand Teams Licensing: Teams Calling and Teams Phone licenses can be added to your basic Teams subscription for enhanced functionality. Learn more about these licenses here:
