Continuum is an AI meeting assistant for financial advisors. The Continuum integration for Maximizer lets you send meeting summaries, action items and meeting details from Continuum straight into the right contact record in Maximizer, with one click. It also brings your Maximizer contacts into Continuum, so you can find the right client when you sync a meeting.
Continuum maintains the step-by-step setup guide. This article explains what the integration does, what you need before you start, and answers common questions. For full setup instructions, see Continuum's Maximizer integration guide.
What the integration does
- Captures conversations anywhere. Continuum captures Zoom and Teams calls, phone calls and in-person meetings, without a bot joining the call.
- Sends meeting summaries to Maximizer. When you sync a meeting, the summary (formatted using your Continuum meeting template) is saved as a note or an interaction on the contact's record in Maximizer, along with the meeting title, date and time.
- Turns action items into Maximizer tasks. Tasks from the meeting arrive in Maximizer as Hotlist tasks, with due dates and assignees.
- Imports your Maximizer contacts into Continuum. With automatic contact sync turned on, Continuum regularly pulls contacts from Maximizer.
Before you start
- Maximizer must be cloud-hosted (Maximizer CRM Live). On-premise Maximizer is not supported.
- Maximizer must be on release 2026.6 or later. To check your version, go to Administration > Version and Storage space in Maximizer.
- You need an active Continuum account.
- Have these two details ready:
- Region: Canada or Europe, depending on where your Maximizer account is hosted.
- Company alias: in Maximizer, click your profile icon in the top-right corner to find it. If you can't see it, ask your Maximizer administrator.
How to connect Continuum to Maximizer
Find Continuum in Maximizer
- In Maximizer, click App Directory in the left navigation.
- Find and open Continuum. It's listed as a Featured partner app under Communication, Finance and Meeting Intelligence.
- Click SET UP to get started, or click setup guide to open Continuum's step-by-step instructions.
Complete the connection in Continuum
- In Continuum, go to Settings > Integrations and click Connect on the Maximizer tile.
- Enter your region and company alias.
- Sign in to Maximizer in the pop-up window and approve access. Continuum asks for permission to read contacts, read tasks, write tasks and notes, and access organization data.
- Turn on Automatic contact sync so your Maximizer contacts appear in Continuum.
We recommend syncing one meeting end to end and checking that the note and tasks landed where you expect in Maximizer before relying on the integration day to day.

How syncing works
Contacts (Maximizer to Continuum)
- Continuum imports the contacts that Maximizer shares with the connected account.
- Only contacts with an email address are imported.
- The first sync usually starts right away and finishes within about 90 minutes. After that, contacts are pulled periodically.
- You can also import contacts manually in Continuum from People > Add contact > Import from CRM.
Meetings and tasks (Continuum to Maximizer)
- From any meeting in Continuum, click Sync, choose the Maximizer contact, and select what to send.
- The summary is saved as a note on that contact's record. The meeting title, date and time are included.
- Tasks are created as Hotlist tasks with due dates and assignees, and arrive with Medium priority. You can change the priority in Maximizer afterwards.
- Tasks only sync after contacts have synced, so make sure automatic contact sync is on.
Limitations
- On-premise Maximizer is not supported.
- Contacts without an email address are not imported into Continuum.
- Synced tasks always arrive with Medium priority.
- Continuum Pages (client-facing meeting summaries) are not synced into Maximizer automatically. If you email a Page link to a client from Outlook and your Outlook email is synced with Maximizer, the email and link appear on the client's timeline like any other email.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| The Sync button is greyed out | In Continuum, go to Settings > Integrations and check that Maximizer shows Connected. If it doesn't, reconnect. |
| I can't find my company alias | In Maximizer, click your profile icon in the top-right corner. If it's not there, ask your Maximizer administrator. |
| Signing in to Maximizer fails | Check that the region and company alias are correct, then try again. |
| The sign-in window doesn't open | Your browser may be blocking pop-ups. Allow pop-ups for Continuum and try again. |
| A contact doesn't show up when I search in Continuum | Type at least three characters. Check that the contact exists in Maximizer and has an email address. Turn on automatic contact sync or import the contact manually from People > Add contact > Import from CRM. |
| Tasks are missing | Turn on automatic contact sync. Tasks sync only after contacts have synced. |
| The integration doesn't work at all | Check that Maximizer is cloud-hosted and on release 2026.6 or later (Administration > Version and Storage space). |
If you're still stuck, contact Continuum support for questions about the Continuum app and connection, or Maximizer support for questions about your Maximizer account, version or records.
Frequently asked questions
What is Continuum?
Continuum is an AI meeting assistant built for financial advisors. It captures client conversations on video, by phone or in person, without a bot joining the call. It then creates a summary, action items and key details, and can turn a meeting into an interactive client-facing summary called a Page.
Where do I find the Continuum integration in Maximizer?
Go to App Directory in Maximizer's left navigation and open Continuum. From there you can click SET UP or open the setup guide.
Where do my Continuum meeting notes appear in Maximizer?
As a note on the contact's record you choose when you sync the meeting. The note includes the summary, organized by your Continuum meeting template, plus the meeting title, date and time.
Do Continuum action items become tasks in Maximizer?
Yes. They're created as Hotlist tasks with due dates and assignees, with Medium priority by default.
Can IQ Boost use my Continuum notes?
Yes. Once a meeting note is synced to the contact's record, it becomes part of the record IQ Boost works with, so you can ask questions about what was discussed.
Does the integration work with Maximizer on-premise?
No. You need cloud-hosted Maximizer (Maximizer CRM Live) on release 2026.6 or later.
If I sync the same meeting twice, will I get duplicate notes?
No. Syncing a meeting again updates the existing note and tasks in Maximizer.
Why aren't all my Maximizer contacts in Continuum?
Continuum only imports contacts that have an email address and that Maximizer shares with the connected account. Make sure automatic contact sync is on. The first sync can take up to about 90 minutes.
Is my client data secure? Where is it stored?
Both Maximizer and Continuum keep client data hosted in Canada, and both are SOC 2 Type 2 certified. Continuum does not use client data to train AI models, and Maximizer's anonymizer keeps client data out of third-party AI models. Who can see synced notes in Maximizer follows your existing Maximizer permissions.
How do I disconnect the integration?
In Continuum, go to Settings > Integrations, open Manage on the Maximizer tile and click Disconnect. Contacts already imported stay in Continuum but stop updating. Notes and tasks already synced stay in Maximizer. You can reconnect from the same Manage dialog.
Do I need a separate Continuum subscription?
Yes. Continuum is licensed separately from Maximizer. Visit oncontinuum.com to learn about plans or start a free trial.
