Functionality
- MS Teams Toggle in Appointment Dialog: After installing the integration, an MS Teams toggle will appear in the "Add Appointment" dialog when scheduling a new appointment in Maximizer. By default, the toggle is off, but you can enable it for any new appointment. When the toggle is on, the integration automatically generates a Microsoft Teams meeting link and embeds it—along with the meeting ID and passcode—into the appointment description and email invitation for participants.
- Microsoft Teams Meeting Link in Appointment Invitations: When you create a new appointment in Maximizer with the MS Teams option selected, the integration automatically generates a Microsoft Teams meeting link, along with the meeting ID and passcode, and embeds them into the appointment description and email invitation. You can review and manage the invitation before sending it to participants.
- Microsoft Teams Meeting Link in Appointment Description: Once the appointment with the Microsoft Teams meeting link is created, you’ll find the connection link, meeting ID, and passcode in the appointment description within your Maximizer calendar, timeline, and other relevant areas. When it’s time for the meeting, simply click the link in the appointment description to join.
Note: You may need to press "Control" and left-click to open the Teams meeting.
- Please note that when adding a Teams meeting link to your Maximizer appointment with the Microsoft Teams Meetings integration, no appointment will be created in our Teams (or Outlook) calendar unless you are using the two-way appointment sync between Maximizer and Outlook.
Limitations
- The Teams meeting link cannot be edited once the appointment has been created in Maximizer. If changes are needed, you will need to create a new appointment with an updated link. Alternatively, you can update the date and time in the existing Maximizer appointment and send an update to participants. However, the Teams meeting details will still display the original time. The link will remain valid for the meeting.
