Description
Calendar Sharing integration allows Maximizer users to easily share their Maximizer calendar with external users, outside of Maximizer World, in a read-only format. The integration employs the .ics file format, compatible with major calendars like Google, Outlook, and Apple. ICS files contain event details within the calendar, including the event name, start and end dates, description, location, recurring pattern, and more. Users can share a variety of appointment types, facilitating scheduling for single events, multi-day weekly occurrences, daily appointments, and recurring events.
Use Cases
- Maximizer users can share their availability with individuals outside the Maximizer world, facilitating the scheduling of meetings based on mutual availability.
- Maximizer users can export events from their Maximizer calendar to various platforms such as Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Apple Calendar, and more.
- External people can easily subscribe to the shared calendar, gaining access to a list of upcoming events, including webinars, lectures, and social gatherings.
Functionality
- Within the Maximizer calendar, users can choose a date range and publish their calendar events.
- This process generates a URL, enabling external individuals to subscribe to Maximizer calendar across various platforms.
- The published URL connects to the Calendar Sharing application, which uses the Maximizer’s API to gather events from the shared Maximizer calendar and provides them in the .ics format that can be easily understood by other calendar applications.
- External calendars subscribing to this URL can efficiently fetch real-time updates of events, ensuring seamless synchronization.

Considerations and Constrains
- External calendar platforms are responsible for frequently checking for updates in the Maximizer calendar.
- Certain calendars operate on a predefined schedule for checking updates, typically every 24 or 48 hours. As a result, real-time updates from the Maximizer calendar may not be reflected in these calendars right away.
- It's important to note that Microsoft Outlook does not support certain recurring appointments available in Maximizer. In contrast, Google Calendar accommodates these features.
