Currently in Maximizer; There is an ongoing issue with Daylight savings time and scheduling appointments that cross over the Daylight savings time days in the year. If you were to set this up in Maximizer only and not Sync to Outlook - this document will not apply; this Only applies if you set up re-occurring appointments to sync from Maximizer to Outlook.
For Re-occurring appointments that DO cross over a DST time adjustment ( Spring forward; Fall back) - Take the following steps:
- Take note of the daylight savings time changes in your region
- Add the start date for the appointment; which is a particular day in the year.
- if the appointment will cross over Spring forward or Fall back; Select the last day for the re-occurring appointment being the day before the DST adjustment.
- This will ensure all of the appointments are added at the correct times.
- Next; create another Re-occurring appointment from the DST adjustment forward until the preferred end date for the Re-occurring appointment.
Example Scenario 1:
The required appointment is to be created from Outlook starting at 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM and for it to reoccur every Thursday from 2/20/2020 until 3/12/2020 (Daylight savings is on March 8th in Canada in 2020).
