The Outlook Integration is an add-on for MS Outlook that connects to your current Maximizer session in your browser. The add-on itself has a relatively small footprint in terms of storage space; troubleshooting installation issues is relatively straightforward:
Fully Uninstalling and Reinstalling Outlook Integration
- Use the Control Panel's Programs and Features utility when uninstalling the Outlook Integration add-in. The add-in's name is Maximizer CRM Web Access Microsoft Office Integration.
- After uninstalling the Outlook Integration add-in; it is recommended to clear the Windows Registry of any remaining settings that remain after the uninstall.
The instructions below will alter the Windows Registry on your workstation and are meant for advanced users. If you are unsure of how follow the instructions below; please request assistance from your IT staff.
- In Windows Registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Maximizer Software\Maximizer\Modules\MaThinOutlookAddIn.
- Remove the entire MaThinOutlookAddIn folder.
- When downloading or re-downloading the Outlook Integration add-in; login to Maximizer and use the link in the Administration > Desktop and Mobile Setup page.
- To install the Outlook Integration add-in; right-click the downloaded file and select Run As Administrator. This will ensure the installation will proceed without roadblocks.
Installation Log Files
During the installation of the Outlook Integration add-in; it creates a log file of the installation process. This log file provides details on the events of the installation. If an error occurs during the installation; this log file will show the error as well as the events leading to the error.
The Outlook Integration installation log file can be located in the following directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Maximizer\Logs\
On-Premise installations:
The log file is called "Maximizer CRM Web Access Microsoft Outlook Integration.log"
CRM Live installations:
The log file is called "Outlook Integration for Maximizer CRM Live.log"
