To prevent unauthorized access to Maximizer by repeated attempts at guessing a user’s password; you can set account lockout settings to automatically lock out Maximizer users after a certain number of failed login attempts occur within a specified duration. You can also prevent users from staying logged in to Mobile Access. When this option is disabled; users will no longer be able to select the option to stay logged in on the Mobile Access login screen and will be required to log in again each time they use Mobile Access.
The account lockout settings allow you to specify rules for locking out Maximizer user accounts due to failed login attempts. You can specify the number of invalid login attempts that are allowed before the Maximizer user account is locked out; as well as the duration during which the failed attempts must occur.
If Maximizer detects the specified number of invalid login attempts for a Maximizer user within the lockout duration; the user account will be locked out.
Once a Maximizer user account has been locked out; the user will not be able to use their Maximizer user account to log in. If the user tries to log in; an error message will be displayed indicating that their account is locked out.
In order for a locked out user to log in to Maximizer again; their account must be unlocked in Administrator. |
