Wireless Synchronization Users and Administrators
Please note the following updates related to deploying MaxMobile through a wireless connection.
- Users do not need to install MaxMobile and BlackBerry Desktop Software on a computer.
- Users do not need to perform the initial synchronization using a USB connection. MaxMobile will
synchronize with the synchronization server when you first log in to MaxMobile.
- If BlackBerry Enterprise Server is not used, MaxMobile uses either WAP or Direct TCP for wireless
synchronization. For more information, refer to the updated MaxMobile Wireless
Synchronization Server Getting Started Guide.
- The Maximizer Email Service must be set up and running to send the wireless deployment email
to users.
