Appointments Created In Web Access Appear at Wrong Time in Outlook with MaxSync
  Question

Appointments Added Through Web Access Appears at Wrong Time in Outlook After Synchronized by MaxSync

Problem

An appointment or task is added through Maximizer Web Access and is synchronized to Microsoft Exchange via MaxSync for Microsoft Exchange. The time that the appointment or task appears at in Outlook is different than the time that it appears at in Maximizer Web Access.

Reason

The User using Maximizer Web Access is in a different time zone than the Maximizer Web Access and MaxSync for Microsoft Exchange Server.

Maximizer appointments and tasks are not stored in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time), therefore, when the MaxSync for Microsoft Exchange synchronizes them to the Microsoft Exchange Server, it must convert them to UTC, which Microsoft Exchange Server Uses.

MaxSync for Microsoft Exchange bases this conversion on the time zone the Server currently resides in. When the User in the other time zone connects to Microsoft Exchange using Outlook, the appointment in UTC, is represented by that users current time zone. This causes a discrepancy in the time is observed.
