MaxExchange Server Stops Responding After Launching Without a Synchronized Address Book Selected

Problem

This problem occurs after launching MaxExchange Server without a synchronized Address Book selected. When you launch MaxExchange Server after removing all synchronized Address Books from MaxExchange Site Manager, you are informed that there are no synchronized Address Books and that MaxExchange Server will close. If you add a new synchronized Address Book and launch MaxExchange Server again, it starts with the message "Initializing", and then it stops responding.

Reason

Not all modules associated with MaxExchange Server are released during the forced shut down, causing MaxExchange Server to lock up when it's restarted.

Solution

Restart the computer running MaxExchange Server. When you launch MaxExchange Server after restarting, it will successfully start.

In the future, always select a synchronized Address Book before launching MaxExchange Server.
