Applicability

This service release applies to the following MaxMobile Lite release:

  • MaxMobile Lite 10 for BlackBerry - Series 1804

This service release applies to the following Maximizer CRM 10 releases:

  • Maximizer CRM 10 Entrepreneur Edition Service Release 1 - Series 1910
  • Maximizer CRM 10 Group, Professional, and Enterprise Editions Service Release 1 - Series 1833
  • Maximizer CRM 10 Entrepreneur Edition - Series 1804
  • Maximizer CRM 10 Group, Professional, and Enterprise Editions - Series 1743

Overview

This service release contains a number of important corrections for MaxMobile Lite 10 for BlackBerry. There is no update for MaxMobile Lite 10 for Windows Mobile Pocket PC or MaxMobile Lite 10 for Windows Mobile Smartphone.

Issues Resolved

  • If you do not have read rights for Opportunities, MaxMobile Lite 10 will not open

  • If you do not have Read permissions for Opportunities, you will be unable to open MaxMobile.

  • Enabling the Carry forward unfinished tasks option includes completed Hotlist tasks

  • If you enable the "Carry forward unfinished tasks" option in the MaxMobile synchronization preferences, completed tasks, outside of the specified date range, will be synchronized to your device.

  • Synchronization removes records from the desktop database

  • In some circumstances, if the connection to the device's database fails, records may be removed from the desktop's database. The records remain on the device's database.

  • Default email addresses

  • If you have multiple email addresses configured on your BlackBerry device and you set a default email address on the device, when sending an email through MaxMobile, it will not automatically select the default email address as the sender address.

  • Company name doesn't appear in the Contact's view mode

  • The company name doesn't appear in the Contact's view mode.

  • Alarms do not appear

  • MaxAlarm doesn't appear in the device's Profiles and therefore no MaxMobile appointment or task notifications appear.

  • Performing Other Actions

  • If in a company's Contacts window, you select any action, like schedule a meeting against a selected contact, the action will be performed for the company, not the contact.

New Features in this Release

This release of MaxMobile Lite for BlackBerry includes the following new features:

  1. Store Address Book on Storage Card - MaxMobile Lite users now have the option to store the database on the device memory or on a storage card.
  2. BlackBerry Phone Integration - New preferences allow MaxMobile Lite users to automatically log notes for incoming and outgoing calls with MaxMobile Address Book entries.
  3. Support for BlackBerry Storm - MaxMobile Lite is now supported on BlackBerry Storm devices.

Install Instructions

You must be logged into Windows as an administrator to install this service release.

Before upgrading, please synchronize your MaxMobile device with Maximizer to ensure that no data is lost. Also, be sure to have your product serial number.

To fully utilize the functionality of MaxMobile Lite 10 Service Release 1 for BlackBerry, it is strongly recommended to upgrade from Maximizer CRM 10 Entrepreneur Edition to Maximizer CRM 10 Entrepreneur Edition Service Release 1. MaxMobile Lite 10 Service Release 1 for BlackBerry

  1. On the desktop, uninstall MaxMobile Lite 10 for BlackBerry via Add/Remove Programs in the control panel.
  2. On the BlackBerry device, uninstall MaxMobile Lite 10 for BlackBerry. On the device, you can uninstall applications by going to Options > Advanced Options > Applications. It is very important that you remove MaxMobile from your device before proceeding with step 3.
  3. Install MaxMobile Lite 10 Service Release 1 for BlackBerry on the desktop and follow the instructions to install on the BlackBerry device.
  4. When you install MaxMobile Lite, you must know the version of the BlackBerry operating system used on your device. You can access the version of your BlackBerry operating system by going to Options > About (for example, v4.6.1.49).

  5. In Maximizer, under the Tools menu, run Reset MaxMobile.
