Symbols in a Received SMS Message Sent from MaxMobile 10.5 for BlackBerry do not Display Properly.

Problem

When sending an SMS message from MaxMobile containing any symbols, when received, most, if not all of the symbols do not display properly. If the same SMS message is sent from the BlackBerry native application, the symbols show correctly when received.

Reason

When sending an SMS message from BlackBerry with an Operating System between the versions of 4.02 to 4.1x, some special characters will not display correctly on a receiving device, especially devices running on a CDMA network.
