Note - this hot fix applies only to MaxExchange servers running Microsoft SQL.

All issues described below have been resolved:

  1. Adding or Removing Distribution Sites To/From Team Members
    When adding or removing distribution sites to/from team members, creating outgoing packets on a MaxExchange Server was very slow.

  2. Adding or Deleting Team Members
    When adding or deleting team members, creating outgoing packets on a MaxExchange Server was very slow.

  3. Distributing Address Book Entries and Associated Data
    When making changes to Address Book entries and its associated data (notes, user-defined fields, and documents), creating outgoing packets on a MaxExchange Server was very slow.

Apply MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9 Hot Fix 1 for Service Pack 1 for Service Release 2 - Series 1711 to the MaxExchange server running Microsoft SQL by following the steps below.

1. Close ALL applications.

2. If MaxExchange Server Manager is running, shut down the application and stop the MaxExchange Service (if applicable).

3. Open Windows Explorer, browse to the MaxExchange program folder and rename the existing SPDM.EXE and MAXEXSQL.DLL files to SPDM.OLD and MAXEXSQL.OLD.

4. Copy the SPDM.EXE and MAXEXSQL.DLL files accompanying
this article to the MaxExchange program folder.

5. Launch MaxExchange Server Manager.
