This article provides information for Maximizer Enterprise 9.5
Service Pack 1 for Service Release 1 - Series 1707.

Answer |

- Maximizer Enterprise 9, Version 9.5 Service Release 1 -
Series 1646 must be installed before applying this update
This software update contains a number of important corrections. All Maximizer Enterprise 9.5 users are recommended to apply this update.
The following issues are resolved when this update is applied
- Email Recipient Name Displayed as Quotation Marks
When an email address was entered manually in the To field
with no specified Display name, the recipient name was shown
as quotation marks in the Sent Items.
- Field Population in Microsoft Outlook Address Categories
When synchronizing Maximizer Address Book entries with
Outlook, address fields were populated in the Other address
category when the fields should have been populated only in
the Business address category.
- DSN Creation Failure in Windows Vista
A DSN creation failure caused problems in logging into the
main application and also with generating reports.
- Maximizer Word Processor Stops Responding
Using shared Microsoft Fax caused Maximizer Word Processor
to stop responding. This issue has been resolved, however,
field merging is not supported using shared Microsoft Fax.
See the Maximizer website for the latest compatible product
information at http://www.maximizer.com/support/products.html.
- User-Defined Field Values Not Appearing After Upgrade
After upgrading from Maximizer Enterprise 7 - Version 7.5
to Maximizer Enterprise 9 - Version 9.5, user-defined field
values were not displaying in the User-Defined Fields
following window. The field values were displayed in the
User-Defined Fields tab of an Address Book entry.
- Read Access for Default Notes
When Read Access for a Default Note was set to a security
group or user, any default notes created would have the
Read Access right set to Public.
- Truncation of Company Name Field for Opportunities
When an opportunity was created through the Maximizer ODBC
driver, the Company Name field was truncated at 24
characters; the field should allow for a 78 character
length.
- Update of Company Name Field for Opportunities
Updates to the Company Name field for opportunities were not
permitted using the following layers:
- Maximizer ODBC - Opportunity Table
- MaAccess - Opportunity Object
- SQL Views - AMGR_Opportunity View
For access through the AMGR_Opportunity View, you must run a SQL script included with this service pack. See the Post Install Notes for instructions.
- Import Issues with ACT! 2005, ACT! 2006, and ACT! 2007
The following import issues occurred in ACT! 2005, ACT! 2006,
and ACT! 2007:
- Home and Custom address were not imported
- If a Contact with the same First Name and Last Name as
an existing Contact in Maximizer was imported from ACT!,
it was considered a duplicate even though the details for
the Contact were different and was not imported
- Phone Extension fields were not imported
- Date fields prior to 1970 were not imported
- Pasting Text from Microsoft Word 2000 or Higher
If you copied text from Microsoft Word 2000 or higher, the
text would not paste into the Maximizer Word Processor.
- Negative Numeric Field Values Not Deleted
Under rare circumstances, numeric field values that were
negative (e.g., - 1) were not deleted from the
AMGR_User_Fields_Tbl table (SQL).
- Key Value Generation Issue with Key Fields
Due to the Key Value Generation issue addressed in a previous
release, some Key Fields could not be deleted or modified.
- Maximizer Closed Unexpectedly When Saving Phone Note
Maximizer closed unexpectedly when you were recording a
phone note, switched to another Address Book entry, and then
saved the phone note.
- Overwritten Email Message Body
Under rare circumstances, when the Flag Message option for
an email was selected, the body text would be overwritten by
the text "Follow up".
- Hotlist Task Creation for Past Dates
Hotlist tasks for past dates were created for date
user-defined fields that were flagged to be included
in the Hotlist when a custom filter was applied with
a past date. Hotlist tasks for past dates are no longer
created.
- Message Prompt to Confirm Address Updates
In Employee Portal, when you update an address for a Contact,
you are now prompted with a message notifying you that
changes to the address will update the address for the
Company/Individual and all of its associated Contacts that
use the address. You have the option of canceling the
update.
- Truncation of Opportunity Field Strings
When the AMGR_Opportunity View was updated by a SQL statement,
the last character of Basic Information field strings for an
opportunity was truncated after synchronizing with MaxExchange.
To fix this issue, you must run a SQL script included with
this service pack. See the Post Install Notes for instructions.
- Appointments Not Synchronizing to BlackBerry Device
Appointments synchronized from Maximizer to Outlook
would not synchronize to the BlackBerry device when
BlackBerry Enterprise Server was used.
- Slowness When Viewing User Properties
When an Address Book contained a large number of users --
i.e., 200 or more -- slowness was experienced when loading
the User Properties dialog box (File > Users > Properties).
Maximizer appeared to have stopped responding.
