  • Maximizer 9 Service Pack 1 for Service Release 1, Series 1649

Overview

This software update contains a number of important corrections. All Maximizer 9 users are recommended to apply this update.

Issues Resolved

The following issues are resolved when this update is applied

  1. Script Error in My Work Day
In the My Work Day window, if you mark a task as complete for a day other than the current date, and then choose to create a group appointment as a follow-up task, a script error occurs.

  2. DSN Creation Failure in Windows Vista
A DSN creation failure caused problems in logging into the main application and also with generating reports.

  3. Maximizer Word Processor Stops Responding
Using shared Microsoft Fax caused Maximizer Word Processor to stop responding. This issue has been resolved, however, field merging is not supported using shared Microsoft Fax. See the Maximizer website for the latest compatible product information at http://www.maximizer.com/support/products.html.

  4. User-Defined Field Values Not Appearing After Upgrade
After upgrading from Maximizer 7 to Maximizer 9, user-defined field values were not displaying in the User-Defined Fields following window. The field values were displayed in the User-Defined Fields tab of an Address Book entry.

  5. Import Issues with ACT! 2005, ACT! 2006, and ACT! 2007
The following import issues occurred in ACT! 2005, ACT! 2006, and ACT! 2007:
    • Home and Custom addresses were not imported
    • If a Contact with the same First Name and Last Name as an existing Contact in Maximizer was imported from ACT!, it was considered a duplicate even though the details for the Contact were different and was not imported
    • Phone Extension fields were not imported
    • Date fields prior to 1970 were not imported

  6. Pasting Text from Microsoft Word 2000 or Higher
If you copied text from Microsoft Word 2000 or higher, the text would not paste into the Maximizer Word Processor.

  7. Key Value Generation Issue with Key Fields
Due to the Key Value Generation issue addressed in a previous release, some Key Fields could not be deleted or modified.

  8. Overwritten Email Message Body
Under rare circumstances, when the Flag Message option for an email was selected, the body text would be overwritten by the text "Follow up".

  9. Hotlist Task Creation for Past Dates
Hotlist tasks for past dates were created for date user-defined fields that were flagged to be included in the Hotlist when a custom filter was applied with a past date. Hotlist tasks for past dates are no longer created.

  10. Appointments Not Synchronizing to BlackBerry Device
Appointments synchronized from Maximizer to Outlook would not synchronize to the BlackBerry device when BlackBerry Enterprise Server was used.

  11. Buffer Overrun Error on XML Import
Importing an XML file with a Company name over 41 characters caused a Buffer Overrun error.
