Maximizer products are supported on the following 32-bit Windows Vista versions:
- Windows Vista Enterprise
- Windows Vista Home Basic1
- Windows Vista Home Premium1
- Windows Vista Ultimate
- Windows Vista Business

- Which versions of Maximizer and Maximizer Enterprise are supported on Windows Vista?
Maximizer 9 and Maximizer Enterprise 9.5 are supported on the Windows Vista versions listed above. Earlier versions of Maximizer and Maximizer Enterprise are not supported on Windows Vista.
- How do I install Maximizer 9 on Windows Vista?
The following article provides information for Installing Maximizer 9 on Windows Vista. A similar document will be made available for Maximizer Enterprise 9.5.

- Are there any Maximizer software updates I must apply?
Yes, Windows Vista has Internet Explorer 7. The following software updates are required:
- Are there any known issues running Maximizer 9 and Maximizer Enterprise 9.5 on Windows Vista?
The following is a list of issues that may occur:
- Error 8520 - A timeout occurred during the initialization of SRDE engine
- Error Code 3012 - Local engine is not accessible to the MicroKernel router
- MaxMobile Fails To Install on Windows Vista
Check that Windows Mobile Device Center 6 for Windows Vista has be installed on the Windows Vista computer. Windows Mobile Device Center 6 must be installed before installing MaxMobile.
- MaxMobile Only Synchronizes Once per Maximizer Session
An issue is being investigated where MaxMobile may only synchronize once per Maximizer session. Closing Maximizer and then restarting again allows MaxMobile to successfully synchronize, but any additional synchronization are not successful until Maximizer is closed and restarted again.
- F1 Context Help
When the F1 key is pressed the following message appears and Maximizer's Help does not appear:
Why can't I get Help from this program?
This issue is being investigated. To display Maximizer's Help click the Help > Content menu from Maximizer.
An update for this issue has been provided by Microsoft: The Windows Help (WinHlp32.exe) program is no longer included with Windows operating systems starting with Windows Vista
- Address Book Does Not Open on Windows Vista
Maximizer Enterprise 9.5 workstation CRM (SQL) or eCRM is started on Windows Vista and an Address Book is opened for the first, the selected Address Book fails to open and the Open Address Book dialog box appears again.
This issue has been addressed by the following software updates:
Please apply the appropriate update before attempting to open an Address Book.
- Running or Saving Macros
It is not possible to run or save a Maximizer macro (Tools > Macros) on Windows Vista. This issue occurs for both Maximizer 9 and Maximizer Enterprise 9.5. When attempting to save a macro the following message appears:

The selected macro contains no events to save
This issue is being investigated.
- Maximizer Word Processor Does Not Start
This issue is covered in the following Knowledge Base article: Maximizer Word Processor (MaxEditor) Fails to load (start).
- Miscellaneous Issues:
The following is a list of issues that have been handle by Customer Support but the cause is still under investigation. In most cases, the issue was addressed by starting Maximizer with the "Run as administrator" feature.
- View Website for
When Web > View website for was selected a browser window did not open. This issue occurred in an environment where Internet Explorer was not the default browser and anti-virus was running. Running Maximizer with Administrative rights addressed this issue.
- Unable to Perform an All Fields Search
When Search > All Fields was selected an Unsupported Operation error message appeared. Again, running Maximizer with Administrative rights prevents this issue.
