Overview

This software update contains a number of important corrections. All MaxExchange users are recommended to apply this update.

Issues Resolved

The following issues are resolved when this update is applied

  1. Column Setup Settings Not Synchronizing Properly
    When a user selected certain column setups on a Pervasive.SQL database and then synchronized to a Microsoft SQL database, some Maximizer windows may not have opened in the Microsoft SQL database. In addition, some user drop-down lists may have appeared incomplete.


  2. Favorite List Settings Not Synchronizing Properly
    When a user specified certain Favorite Lists on a Pervasive.SQL database to be retrieved in the Address Book window or the Customer Service window upon startup of Maximizer, and then synchronized the settings to a SQL database, Maximizer may have closed unexpectedly.


  3. Opportunities Not Synchronizing Properly
    This issue occurred when the remote was not upgraded to Maximizer Enterprise 9 Service Release 2 - Series 1635. Under certain circumstances, when a user added a new opportunity on a MaxExchange Remote running a Pervasive.SQL database and modified the selected team, the opportunity may not have synchronized properly to a MaxExchange Server running a Microsoft SQL database.

Instructions

  • To install this service pack, you must be logged into Windows as an administrator.
  • You can also install this service pack in a mixed-mode environment, where the MaxExchange Synchronization Server is running MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9 Service Pack 1 for Service Release 2 - Series 1649, but the remote machines may be running any of the following versions:
    • Maximizer Enterprise 9 Service Release 2 - Series 1635
    • Maximizer Enterprise 9 Service Pack 1 for Service Release 2 - Series 1649
  1. Click the Download link on this page to download this update.
  2. Close all applications.
  3. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the service pack file (MX9SR2SP1.exe).
  4. Double-click the file.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Alternatively, this update will be available via Maximizer Live Update Server starting January 3rd, 2007.
  1. Open Maximizer or Administrator, select Help > Maximizer Live Update.
  2. Select the update to download and install (MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9 Service Pack 1 for Service Release 2).
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
