This article contains information for MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9.5 Service Release 1 - Series 1646. This service release contains all fixes from MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9.5 Hot Fix 1 - Series 1641.
All issues described below have been resolved.
- MaxExchange Remotes Unable to Perform Initial Refresh
Remotes set up by using the network direct transport method
may not have been able to process the initial Refresh packet
sent from the MaxExchange server.
- Column Setup Settings Not Synchronizing Properly
When a user selected certain column setups on a
Pervasive.SQL database and then synchronized to a SQL
database, some Maximizer windows may not have opened
in the SQL database. In addition, some user drop-down lists
may have appeared incomplete.
- Favorite List Settings Not Synchronizing Properly
When a user specified certain Favorite Lists on a
Pervasive.SQL database to be retrieved in the Address Book
window or the Customer Service window upon startup of
Maximizer, and then synchronized the settings to a SQL
database, Maximizer may have closed unexpectedly.
- Opportunities Not Synchronizing Properly
Under certain circumstances, when a user added a new
opportunity on a Pervasive.SQL database and modified the
selected team, the opportunity may not have synchronized
properly to a SQL database.
- Opportunity Document Cannot Be Opened
When an opportunity had a large document and a refresh was
sent to a remote from a Pervasive.SQL database, the
document could not be opened.
- Customer Service Cases Not Synchronizing Properly
When using the Maximizer ODBC driver to add, modify, or
delete a customer service case, these changes may not have
synchronized properly between servers and remotes.
- Private Favorite Lists Not Synchronizing Properly
Private Favorite Lists with a group owner that were added on a server or a remote were not synchronizing properly to other remotes. Also, these Favorite Lists were
not sent to remotes in a refresh.

INSTALLING THIS SERVICE RELEASE
- The following software versions must be installed before
installing this service release:
- Maximizer Enterprise 9, Version 9.5 Service Release 1 -
Series 1646
– and –
- MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9, Version 9.5 -
Series 1630 or MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9,
Version 9.5 Hot Fix 1 - Series 1641
- To install this service release, you must be logged into
Windows as an administrator.
- You can also install this service release in a mixed-mode
environment, where the MaxExchange Synchronization Server
is running MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9, Version 9.5
Service Release 1, but the remote machines may be running any of the following versions:
- Maximizer Enterprise 9, Version 9.5 - Series 1630
- Maximizer Enterprise 9, Version 9.5 Hot Fix 1 - Series 1641
- Maximizer Enterprise 9, Version 9.5 Service Release 1 - Series 1646
However, if you have any SQL databases in your MaxExchange environment and you are upgrading from Maximizer Enterprise
9, Version 9.5 - Series 1630, you must update all the server and remote machines to this service release at the same time. Process all the packets between the server and remotes prior to installing this service release.
To install this service release:
- Close all applications.
- Click the link below to download MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9.5 Service Release 1.
- Open Windows Explorer and browse to the service release file (MX95SR1.EXE).
- Double-click the file.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Alternately, to install Service Release 1 using the Live Update service (if available):
- In Maximizer or Administrator, select Help > Maximizer Live Update.
- Select the update to download and install (MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9, Version 9.5 Service Release 1).
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
