This article provides information for Maximizer Enterprise 8 Hot Fix 4 - Series 1641. This hot fix applies to Maximizer Enterprise 8 Service Release 4A - Series 1518 (both Server and Workstation).

APPLICABILITY

For customers using Maximizer Enterprise 8 with Microsoft SQL Server. This includes:
  • Customers that are transferring/synchronizing Address Book information between a Maximizer Enterprise (Pervasive) Address Book and Maximizer Enterprise (SQL) Address Book
The issue described below has been resolved.
  1. Key Value Generation Issue
    An issue may result regarding key value generation when creating some types of entries. Entries may not be saved to the database. This issue may appear in the Import Catalog, Graph Catalog, OrderDesk, macros, MaxExchange remotes, column setups, and strategies.

INSTALLING THIS HOT FIX:

  • To install this hot fix, you must be logged into Windows as an administrator.
  • Apply this hot fix to all computers running Maximizer Enterprise 8 Service Release 4A - Series 1518.
  • Install it on the server first, and then install it on the workstations.

RESOLUTION

To install this hot fix:
  1. Close all applications.
  2. Click the link below to download Maximizer Enterprise 8 Hot Fix 4.
  3. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the hot fix file (ME8HF4.EXE).
  4. Double-click the file.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  6. See the More Information section below for additional information on addressing the Key Value Generation issue.
