Maximizer Enterprise 8 Hot Fix 3
  Question
This document provides information about Maximizer Enterprise 8 Hot Fix 3 - Series 1625, which applies to Maximizer Enterprise 8 Service Release 4A (Series 1518) (both Server and Workstation). The following issue is resolved by this Hot Fix:
  • When adding new orders or when importing a .MEC file (ecBuilder email order file) OrderDesk stopped responding.
  Answer
This behavior is caused by a date comparison issue.

NOTE:
  • Maximizer Enterprise 8 Service Release 4A (Series 1518) must be installed BEFORE installing this hot fix. Do not uninstall Maximizer Enterprise 8 before installing the hot fix.
  • You must be logged into Windows as an administrator to install this hot fix.

RESOLUTION

  1. Close all applications (Maximizer, Maximizer Enterprise, ecBuilder, if applicable).

  2. Open Windows Explorer.

  3. Browse to the location of your OrderDesk folder. Typically this is C:\Program Files\Maximizer\MaData6\OrderDesk.

  4. Find the files named ecOrderDLL.dll and ecOrderGUI.dll.

Note: If file extensions are not shown (.dll) then

    1. From Windows Explorer click Tools > Folder Options.
    2. Click the View tab.
    3. Clear (remove) the check beside the Hide extensions for known file types option.
    4. Click the OK button. File extensions are now shown.

  5. Right-click the ecOrderDLL.dll file and select Rename from the short-cut menu. Rename this file to ecOrderDLL.old.

  6. Right-click the ecOrderGUI.dll file and select Rename from the short-cut menu. Rename this file to ecOrderGUI.old.

  7. Click the links below and download both ecOrderDLL.dll and ecOrderGUI.dll into the OrderDesk folder. As found in step 3.

It is now possible to add orders manually or automatically (importing a .MEC file) into OrderDesk.
