Hot Fix 1 for Maximizer Enterprise 9 Service Release 1
  Question
This document describes issues addressed in Maximizer Enterprise 9 Hot Fix 1 for Service Release 1 - Series 1605.

This hot fix applies to Maximizer Enterprise 9 Service Release 1 - Series 1552, which must be installed before installing this hot fix.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you have upgraded to Maximizer Enterprise 9 Service Release 1 - Series 1552 from version 8 or earlier, and you are running MaxExchange Remote, YOU MUST INSTALL THIS HOT FIX BEFORE UPGRADING YOUR MAXIMIZER ADDRESS BOOK TO VERSION 9. Otherwise, the MaxExchange Remote issue described below will not be resolved. However, all other issues described below are resolved by this hot fix, even if this hot fix is installed after upgrading the Address Book.

Issues resolved by this hot fix:

MAXEXCHANGE REMOTE:
  1. Under some circumstances, MaxExchange remotes would send an unusually large packet to the MaxExchange server. This large packet might have contained records that already existed in the Address Book on the server, and processing this packet on the server could create duplicate column setup records on both the server and the remotes.
PHONE CALLS:
  1. After opening the Phone dialog box through the Tools > Phone menu item or by clicking the Phone button on the toolbar, and then clicking the Dial button, the Previous and Next buttons would become unavailable after clicking the Hang Up button.

  2. While using the Phone dialog box to log a phone call, user-defined field values assigned through the User-Defined Fields following window were not added to the phone note.
IMPORTING THIRD-PARTY DATA:
  1. When importing data from ACT! 2005/2006 or ACT! Premium for Workgroups 2005/2006, history records and user-defined or custom fields from ACT! were not imported.

  2. When importing data from a SQL GoldMine database, calendar entries were not imported unless you imported the default GoldMine database called "goldmine".
GENERAL:
  1. Under some circumstances, when opening an Address Book entry in view mode, Maximizer Enterprise would terminate unexpectedly.
