  Service Release 1 for MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9
  Question
  This document describes issues addressed in MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9 Service Release 1 - Series 1552. This service release applies to MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9 - Series 1544.

Issues resolved by Service Release 1:
  1. Improved MaxExchange performance when modifying or deleting team members of an opportunity.


  2. Problems synchronizing the Relationship Type field for related Address Book entries.


  3. When refreshing a single Address Book entry with the diagnostic tools and then processing the packet on the remote, opportunities related to the Address Book entry were removed from the remote.


  4. Changing the status of opportunities could cause some strategy activities to be lost during synchronization.


  5. When a team member associated with a remote was removed from an opportunity, the opportunity wouldn't be removed from the remote.


  6. Refreshing a single Address Book entry with the diagnostic tools would remove opportunity appointments related to that Address Book entry.


  7. Sending a refresh to a remote sometimes created too many transactions for user-defined fields, which resulted in larger packets.


  8. There was no user interface for updating the Live Update URL in Local Address Book on MaxExchange remotes. This issue has been resolved. MaxExchange Remotes can now update the Live Update URL through File > Preferences > System Defaults tab > Live Update Setup button in Maximizer.


  9. Problems reassigning opportunity leader or strategy activities to other team members.


  10. On MaxExchange Remote with a FAT32-formatted hard drive, packet processing terminated unexpectedly or displayed the "Queuing up for processing" status message.


  11. After changing a personal appointment to be related to an Address Book entry, customer service case, or opportunity, the update would not synchronize.
  Answer
  Apply this service release to all computers running MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9 - Series 1544. The following software versions must be installed before installing this service release:
  • MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9 - Series 1544
  • Maximizer Enterprise 9 Service Release 1 - Series 1552

RESOLUTION

To download and install this service release automatically using Live Update:
  1. In Maximizer or Administrator, select Help > Maximizer Live Update.
  2. Select the update to download and install (MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9 Service Release 1).
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: Service Release 1 for MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9 will be made available via Live Update starting January 12, 2006.

Alternatively, to install this service release manually:
  1. Close all applications.
  2. Download Service Release 1 for MaxExchange Synchronization Server 9 by clicking the link below.
  3. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the service release file (MX9SR1.EXE).
  4. Double-click the file.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
